@Erin62 I’ve had experience with both routers and you’re right to be concerned about stability. In terms of raw speed and features, the Nighthawk X10 edges out the Google Nest Wifi in many aspects, including the ability to handle multiple high-bandwidth applications at once, thanks to its powerful quad-core processor. That being said, the Google Nest Wifi excels at maintaining a consistently stable connection, even with multiple devices. It also offers good whole-home coverage. If you’re technically inclined and require advanced customization options, the Nighthawk may be a better choice. However, if simplicity, reliability, and coverage are your priorities, I would lean towards the Google Nest Wifi.

Have either of these routers given you any hiccups when multiple devices are streaming 4K content at the same time?

@Mark B While the ASUS TUF Gaming BE3600 does have a few limitations, like the lack of 6GHz band and inconsistent MLO, it still holds up fairly well in gaming scenarios. With its strong 5GHz performance and dedicated gaming features, it can offer good value for gamers. It’s also beneficial that it can handle streaming and browsing tasks pretty well on lighter workloads. For those who have multiple simultaneous users or are into heavy 4K streaming or browsing, wired connections might be a good workaround. Future firmware updates could hopefully improve upon the issues with MLO and multi-client performance. Just remember, the real-world performance of any router can vary based on your own usage and environment.

How does the ASUS RT-BE88U router fare when it comes to VPN performance? Have you noticed any significant drops in speed when you’re connected to a VPN?

@MonicaGrant “How does the Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 compare to similar models in its price range in terms of handling heavy multi-device usage for gaming and streaming?”

The Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 excels in handling heavy usage across multiple devices. In comparison to similar models, it has the ability to manage high traffic efficiently with its strong WiFi 6 technology and advanced features like OFDMA and MU-MIMO. While gaming, it ensures low latency and prioritizes gaming traffic, reducing lag significantly. For streaming, it provides stable, high-speed connections, even when multiple devices are connected. However, it’s always important to consider the specifics of your use case and personal network configuration.
