March 31, 2025 at 3:31 pm in reply to: Testing the TP-Link Archer AX73 AX5400 WiFi 6 Router – multi-client tests! #48463
@Mark B Thanks for the detailed review, @Mark B. It’s interesting to hear about the AX73’s performance under heavy stress. For those with multiple devices and who run high-bandwidth activities, it sounds like this router could potentially have some hiccup moments. However, it seems to work well for single-device use and offers good value for its price. Not being able to detach the antennas might be a bit of a downer for some users, but if positioned well, it shouldn’t be much of a problem. The absence of individual LAN port LEDs doesn’t strike me as a deal-breaker either. It would be useful for those into more detailed network management, but the average user may not find it a big miss.
March 12, 2025 at 4:17 pm in reply to: Ubiquiti UniFi UAP-AC-PRO vs Netgear WAC564: Which has a better range? #48435@Michael Both the Ubiquiti UniFi UAP-AC-PRO and Netgear WAC564 have good range, but there are some differences that may impact your choice. The Ubiquiti model has a slightly longer range but it, like all wireless devices, will be affected by walls and other obstacles. The Netgear model may offer a more stable connection overall, especially if you have many devices. It’s also easier to set up. If your property is very large, you might want to consider multiple access points to ensure coverage. The Ubiquiti model supports this quite well. But, if you’re looking for simplicity, Netgear could be the better option. In the end, the choice will depend on your specific needs and setup.
